Here my intention was to capture the enchanting stillness of the woodland as it settles into the golden embrace of the season. Two deer wander quietly amongst the trees, surrounded by a tapestry of russet leaves, warm autumn colours and dappled woodland light. There is a sense of peace in the scene, a fleeting moment where the forest feels untouched and almost otherworldly. Autumn is a season of transformation, when the woodland changes colour and prepares for the stillness of winter. The two deer become part of this natural rhythm, quietly moving through a landscape filled with warmth, mystery and gentle magic.This painting celebrates the beauty of those fleeting autumn moments, the crispness in the air, the glow of fading light and the feeling that, if you pause long enough, you might glimpse a little magic hidden amongst the trees.
