Refund & Returns Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Thank you for purchasing artwork from Dani Parker.

I want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains your rights when purchasing original artwork, prints, greetings cards and commissioned artwork from my website.

This policy applies to purchases made by consumers in the United Kingdom and does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

1. Your statutory rights

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

If an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or does not meet these requirements, you may have a legal right to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, depending on the circumstances.

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude your statutory consumer rights.

2. Cancelling an online order – change of mind

If you purchase an artwork or other physical product online, you generally have the legal right to cancel your order without giving a reason.

For most physical goods, you have 14 days from the day after you receive your order to tell me that you wish to cancel. You then have a further 14 days to return the item.

To cancel your order, please contact me by email at daniparkerartist@outlook.com, clearly stating that you wish to cancel your purchase. You do not have to use a specific cancellation form.

Returning an item

Unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning an item when cancelling because you have changed your mind.

Please ensure that artwork is packaged securely and appropriately for return. You are responsible for the item until it is safely returned to me.

You may handle the artwork to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, in the same way that you would reasonably be able to inspect it in a shop. If the artwork has been handled beyond this and its value has been reduced, I may be entitled to make a deduction from the refund.

Because original artwork can be fragile and expensive to transport, I recommend using an insured and trackable delivery service when returning an item.

3. Refunds for cancelled orders

If you cancel your order in accordance with your statutory cancellation rights, I will refund the payments you have made, including the cost of the standard delivery option originally paid.

If you selected a more expensive delivery service, I only need to refund the equivalent of the least expensive standard delivery option offered.

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless we agree otherwise. I will not charge a fee for processing the refund.

For returned goods, I will issue the refund within 14 days of receiving the returned item, or, where applicable, within 14 days of receiving evidence that the item has been returned.

4. Original paintings

If you purchase an original painting from my website, the standard 14-day cancellation rights described above generally apply to an original artwork that is already completed and offered for sale.

The painting must be returned in its original condition, subject to the reasonable inspection rights described above.

Please contact me before returning a large or particularly fragile artwork so that I can provide the appropriate return instructions.

5. Art prints and greetings cards

Art prints and greetings cards purchased online are covered by the same statutory cancellation rights described above, unless an applicable legal exception applies.

If you change your mind about a purchase, the item should be returned unused and in its original condition where reasonably possible.

If an item arrives damaged, faulty or is not what you ordered, please contact me as soon as possible so that I can arrange an appropriate remedy.

6. Commissioned and personalised artwork

Because commissioned paintings are created specifically for you and may be made to your individual specifications, they are generally not covered by the 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right that applies to standard online purchases. UK consumer law excludes goods made to a consumer's specifications or clearly personalised from this cancellation right.

This means that once work on a commissioned painting has begun, you may not be able to cancel simply because you have changed your mind.

However, this does not remove your statutory rights if the finished artwork is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to meet the requirements of consumer law.

Before beginning a commission, I will confirm the agreed requirements, including the subject, size, materials, price and any other relevant specifications.

If I am unable to complete an agreed commission, I will contact you to discuss the available options, which may include a refund.

7. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

I take great care when packaging and sending artwork, but occasionally an item may arrive damaged during delivery.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact me at daniparkerartist@outlook.com as soon as reasonably possible.

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • Your name

  • A description of the problem

  • Photographs of the artwork and, where relevant, the packaging

Please keep the original packaging until the matter has been resolved, as photographs or inspection of the packaging may be required when investigating damage caused during delivery.

If the item is faulty, damaged or not as described, you may have rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights.

8. Sale and discounted items

Sale or discounted items have the same statutory consumer rights as items sold at full price.

A reduced price does not remove your legal rights if an item is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not meet the requirements of consumer law.

9. Items that are personalised or made to your specifications

Where an item has been specifically personalised or made to your specifications, the usual 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right does not generally apply.

This may include commissioned paintings or artwork created specifically to your individual requirements.

This does not affect your statutory rights if the item is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not comply with consumer law.

10. Proof of purchase

I may ask for reasonable evidence of purchase, such as an order confirmation, receipt or other proof of purchase, when dealing with a refund or return.

11. How to contact me

If you have any questions about this Refund & Returns Policy or wish to request a return or refund, please contact:

I will respond to refund and return enquiries as soon as reasonably possible.

12. Your legal rights

This policy is intended to explain my returns and refund procedures clearly. It does not replace or restrict any rights you have under applicable UK consumer protection legislation.

Where the law provides you with rights that differ from or are more favourable than the terms of this policy, those legal rights will apply.
